An away trip to Stockport is never easy, but this year the Falcons have a serious play-off contention team and it was a tough game for the Hoods to start the new year.
Following their buzzer-beating 3 in the final game of 2013, confidence was high going into the game that the Hoods had turned a corner and were starting to believe. Itw asn’t to be though as their 4th quarter demons returned and what was a 1-point lead at the beginning turned to a 12-point loss as they were outscored 23-10, leaving the final score 79-67. Despite a career high 23 points from Lithuanian big man Gardis, the Hoods have started 2014 in the worst possible fashion and will need to focus on taking points from those teams around them in the second half of the season.
Top Scorers: Dargis 23; Siczek 13; Davis 12
