The Hoods embark have a huge Halloween Special this Saturday as three teams take to the Nottingham Wildcats Arena, with the action starting from 2pm and all three could finish top of the leagues by Saturday night.
First on court at 2.00pm are the u14 Junior Hoods (3&2), who take on Northants Thunder (2&1). the Hoods are currently sitting second behind an undefeated Leicester Riders team.
At 3.30pm, it is Hoods II (1&0), taking on Sheffield Sabres (0&1). Hoods II are also sitting second, having played one less game than the leaders.
Then the main event, as the Hoods take on last year’s rivals Liverpool in what promises to be a thoroughly entertaining match. Last season, the two teams took a home win each in the league, but Liverpool have the edge following an overtime thriller in the National Shield semi-final. The Hoods have won both games this season and sit at the top of the league, whereas Liverpool have only played 1 and sit near the foot of the table. It is early days though and the Hoods are under no illusions how important and physical this match will be.
The u16 Junior Hoods (1&3) are also in action on Saturday with a key away trip to Leicester Warriors (1&3), tipping off at 6.00pm.
The weekend is then rounded of on Sunday as the u18 Junior Hoods (2&2) take on Northamptonshire Titans (1&1) at Mapperley Sports Village at 1.30pm.
Tickets for Saturday’s games are £4 for adults and £2 for children although entrance is free if you are in fancy dress. Don’t forget, the main event tip-off is 6.30pm but we highly recommend arriving for the Hoods II game at 3.30pm to avoid disappointment as both games promise to be a sell-out.
