The McDonald’s Nottingham Hoods completed a clean sweep of results over the weekend, with impressive victories for Hoods, Hoods, II, Hoods Ladies and Hoods Minis. It all started on Saturday night at the Wildcats Arena, with an enthralling game between Hoods and Sefton Stars. Having been behind the whole game, the Hoods rallied in the 4th to take it into overtime where, with 16seconds to go it looked like a second period was needed to separate these two tough competitive teams, before new signing Evan Carberry hit a shot on the buzzer to give them a vital 75-73 win. Top Scorers were Urbistondo 22; Davis 18; Siczek 14.

On Sunday, Hoods II played out another cracker at home and thanks to a 31 point final quarter, squeezed past Sheffield Sharks 80-77 to cement their position in the league for next season. It was the young up and coming stars that inspired the victory with some incredible highlight dunks. Top Scorers were Spencer 14; Dunn 14; Menakaya 13.

Hoods Ladies played out a 44-52 away win at RAF Cosford before Hoods Minins completed the perfect weekend of results with another dominant performance as they ran out 104-10 winners.

The Hoods have a Valentine’s Day Double Header next weekend, with Hoods II taking on Sporting Club Albion at 3.30pm before the Hoods take on Hull Wasps at 6.30pm, both games should be thrilling, so make sure you get down to the Nottingham Wildcats Arena early on Saturday afternoon to support Nottingham’s Finest.]]>
