Hoods add Spanish International

The McDonald’s Nottingham Hoods are delighted to announce the signing of ex-Spanish Junior International Miguel Lorenzo Leis.

The 6’8″ centre spent last season with Division 1 outfit Bradford Dragons and had numerous clubs after him over the summer including the BBL, but he couldn’t resist the temptation to play with his University of Malaga teammate and friend, reigning Hoods MVP Alvaro Guerra.

Averaging 12.1 points per game, 7.2 rebounds per game, 1.9 assists per game, 1.8 blocks per game and 1.7 steals per game, Miguel offer the Hoods a complete package.

GM Lee English said, “I am buzzing to see the Spanish boys on court together. At just 22, Miguel has a great future ahead of him and having played with Alvaro through University, will know his game inside out so that’s one less headache for Coach Waghorn! It is a real testament to the club that we have been able to lure a talented young player away from higher ranked clubs to come and play with us in Nottingham and he will love our Merry Men!”
