Hoods are coming home after lengthy road trip

The McDonald’s Nottingham Hoods return to the Nottingham Wildcats Arena on Sunday at 5pm to take on top of the table London Greenhouse Pioneers, but not before one last away game in Liverpool on Saturday night. The Hoods (7&3) have been on the road since 14th November and it has been a tough schedule for them, which has seen them slip from 1st to 7th in the league standings. However two wins this weekend will see them back at the top of Division 2 in what is proving to be a highly competitive league. The Hoods 6 game road-trip finishes on Saturday with a tough game in Liverpool, a venue that saw some classic matches last season as both teams were pushing for promotion, but for which Liverpool had the edge both times. On the road, the Hoods have won 2, but lost 3 – their only 3 losses of the season – and they will be looking to finish on a high, before returning home to take on the league leaders. Neither game will be easy, Liverpool sit just behind the Hoods in 8th place with a 4&8 record, but have been running the top teams close in the last couple of weeks and are always fired up for their home games. London Greenhouse Pioneers on the other hand had a shaky start to the campaign but are not the team to beat, sitting at the top on a 9&2 record. The Hoods haven’t lost a home league game since February 2015, thanks in small part to the Merry Men, who come out in force to support their Hoods. The team will need all that support packed back in to the Nottingham Wildcats Arena this Sunday. Tip off is at 5pm, but make sure you get there early as we are expecting a sell-out. #letsgohoods
