Hoods back in action with tough local tie

The Nottingham McDonald’s Hoods take on local rivals Derby Trailblazers at the weekend who will be smarting from their 1st defeat of the campaign last weekend.

The two teams met in the first game of the season in the National Trophy Pool Stage, with Hoods just taking the win 83-85. Both teams have changed since then with the introduction of key, new players for both teams since the early season tussles. Trailblazers have had a great start to the season, Since then Trailblazers were undefeated for the first 5 games, before losing to Division 1 leaders Solent Kestrels last weekend. Hoods have had a mixed but positive start to their first season in Division 1, and currently sit mid-table, despite playing half their games without Watts and Powell. Watts has been playing limited minutes recently following his serious head injury and Powell is still a doubt for the weekend, but the Hoods will be fired up and ready for this one.
