Hoods gearing up to celebrate 10th Anniversary

To celebrate the Nottingham Hoods turning 10 years old, following their debut season in 2009/2010, they have released a new logo for the 2019/20 season.

From the club’s debut in 2009 with a men’s team full of local talent, the Hoods have made huge strides over the past 10 years and is one of the fastest growing clubs in the country. In fact, the Hoods family now has over 250 registered participants, 15 competitive teams, including a full Junior National League set-up, competing at u14; u16 and u18 level as well as a partnership with Nottingham Trent University in BUCS and National League and their Senior Men team, competing in Division 1.

As well as progress on the court, the Hoods are very active in the local community, with 30+ qualified coaches carrying out clinics to 1,500 young people a week, 5 satellite clubs, school partnerships, mentoring for special educational needs and vulnerable or young people at risk , as well as offering a helping hand in the community with litter picks and other such projects.

In just 10 years the Hoods have achieved so much, including 3 National Championships and the club representatives would like to thank everyone that has helped on our journey so far; sponsors, fans, players but most of all, the volunteers that have worked tirelessly to get us to this level and a solid foundation for the future. On Sunday 22nd September, we will be celebrating the Hoods journey so far with a fun day of activities to help raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society and invite anyone that has ever had anything to do with the club to come down and celebrate and help us raise money for this important cause. Further details can be found by clicking here. If you can’t make the day, you can still donate on the justgiving page – www.justgiving.com/fundraising/hoodsbasketball

Our journey is just getting started, and we look forward to continuing it with you.
