Hoods looking to bounce back at Warriors

The Nottingham McDonald’s Hoods will be looking to bounce straight back after a couple of tough losses last weekend, when they travel to local rivals Leicester Warriors.

With all teams in away action, including a first run-out for this season’s Nottingham Trent University Hoods, it is a busy weekend for the Hoods players and staff and after two close losses last weekend, the Hoods will be looking for a better result as they take on a Leicester Warriors team that beat Hoods in both league meetings last season. Those two games were both decided by less than 10 points, so this promises to be another close encounter. Warriors have had a solid start to the season, losing by a single point on the road to Trailblazers on the opening weekend, before a 6-point victory over Dragons last weekend to leave them in 7th place.

Coach Westley is eager to get his squad back on to the court, “We’ve had a really solid week of practice and we’re looking forward to getting back to action against our local rivals. Warriors are a team that shouldn’t be taken lightly, with a really experienced coach and a talented roster. They’ve already had two good games this season and it is up to us to be at our best to go out there and get the win.”
