Hoods Snap Losing Streak with Away Win

The Nottingham Hoods pulled themselves clear of the bottom of the table with a 58-65 Away win at Tees Valley Mohawks.

The Hoods found themselves in unchartered territory with a bottom of the table clash in the north of England, but came out all guns blazing to take a commanding 5-23 lead after the first quarter. Big Man, Dargis doing most of the damage on his way to a game high 21 points.

The Hoods extended their lead into halftime 15-41 from the usual scoring power of Siczek before taking their foot off the gas in the second half and allowing the hosts to claw their way back to a respectable scoreline.

Top Scorers: Dargis 21; Siczek 15; Westley 9

The Hoods will be pleased to end a run of 8 losing games in a row and will be hoping that this win spear-heads a winning streak as they face some prospective tight games between now and Christmas. The real test of character begins though as they return home on Saturday, looking to build on this momentum and break a 10 game home losing streak against mid-table Birmingham A’s with a 6.30pm tip-off at the Nottingham Wildcats Arena, Bakersfield.
