Hoods struggle away from home

DSC_4165The Nottingham Hoods are yet to find a first win of the season following an 86-65 away loss to Northants Thunder.

Despite a career high 14 points from youngster Danny Wong, the Nottingham Hoods struggled to contain the athleticism of their hosts and slumped to their biggest defeat of the season, and their fourth so far, leaving them in 11th place, 2nd from bottom.

2013 has proved a disastrous year for the Hoods as from being league leaders at the end of 2012, they are now riding an 8 game home losing streak, that saw them miss out on the play-offs last season, and has given them the worst possible start to the 2013/14 campaign.

Top Scorers: Siczek 19; Wong 14; Davis 7

GM Lee English has promised to make things better and urges everyone to get down to the key game against Sheffield Saints this Saturday, 6.30pm at the Nottingham Wildcats Arena, Bakersfield. NG3 7EB. “We have a good squad of players and are improving week on week. We have been very unlucky to have faced the top teamsĀ in our first four games as we look to rebuild the team following last season notable exits.”
