NBL structures announced for 2021/22 season

The Nottingham Hoods will have its biggest ever presence in the 2021/22 season, with representation in all 3 senior leagues and 4 junior teams competing in the new NBL league format.

With no promotion or relegation in the 2020/21 season due to the pandemic, the Hoods will continue life in Division 1 against 13 familiar opponents including defending champions Solent Kestrels and local rivals, Derby Trailblazers, Leicester Warriors and Loughborough Riders. Having used the 2020/21 season to develop the u18 squad and pitting them against some of the strongest players in the country, the Hoods enter the new season with a lot of optimism.

The partnership with Nottingham Trent University continues with a team entered in Division 2 Men North and Nottingham Hoods II will enter in Division 3 North.

Coach Stanley said, “After an incredibly tough year for everyone due to Covid, it’s shaping up to be a historic year for Hoods. The club is growing literally every single day and is bigger than ever before, with more satellite clubs, community initiatives and now the most National League teams we have ever fielded. We’re incredible proud to have developed a programme that goes from u14 up to Men’s Division 1 and gives players opportunities to play and progress at every single level of the game. With that comes our largest ever coaching and back room staff and new, refreshed approach to how we do things. I’m so excited to be a part of our future and we intend to make sure that EVERY MOMENT MATTERS.”
