It was a milestone weekend for the McDonald’s Nottingham Hoods as Hoods II made their National Shield Debut and Hoods u18, u16 and u14 all played their first National League games.
The McDonald’s Nottingham Hoods started life in Division 2 with a very tough Patron’s Cup game against much fancied Ipswich Basketball. Despite a decent performance, the clinical finishing and experience of Ipswich proved the difference as they lost 70-87.
The 2015-16 season tips-off tomorrow as the McDonald’s Nottingham Hoods take on Ipswich Basketball in the Group Stages of the Patron’s Cup at 8pm, Nottingham Wildcats Arena, Greenwood Road, Bakersfield, NG3 7EB.

Whilst most 17 year olds are relaxing and enjoying their summer break from school, Hoods Point Guard, Luke Mitchell spent his time playing for England in Austria and in front of NBA All Star, Luol Deng, back on home soil.
Friends and family of Ethan McKen, the ex-Hoods player who tragically lost his life last month will be celebrating his life with the game he loved on Friday 4th September at the Nottingham Wildcats Arena with a 7.15pm tip.
