Perfect Weekend Away for the Hoods

The McDonald’s Nottingham Hoods made it a perfect 4 wins from 4 away from home throughout the club age groups, led by a record breaking performance by Delaney Powell.

Still struggling with injuries to key players, the Hoods only had 8 first team players available for the long trip to Tees Valley Mohawks, but that did not stop them returning with a very valuable away win.

The Hoods came out of the blocks firing and were always in control of the game, leading by 23 at one point, before taking their foot off the gas to close the game out and ensure no more injuries were picked up. Delaney Powell led the way, breaking the single game scoring record with a staggering 40 points, as well as adding 10 rebounds and 3 steals, but he was able assisted by Eric Milambo with 14 points, 13 rebounds and 4 steals and Captain Kieran Wright with 11 points.

Elsewhere, Hoods II had a confidence boosting 21 point win at Kings Lynn Fury, winning 68-89 and led once again by Spencer hitting 31 points, with Stewart adding 15 and Enkuzens adding 11.

The impressive u16 boys continued their perfect start to the season, winning 39-63 at Leicester Riders to extend their lead at the top of the table, before the u18 made it a full house of away victories by putting away Northamptonshire Titans 74-81 and remain 2nd in the league.
