Tintin Returns Home

The McDonald’s Nottingham Hoods are delighted to announce the first signing of 2016/17, former international and BBL superstar, David “Tintin” Watts.

The 6’9″ Nottingham born Swingman has played all over Europe and the UK and returns home to Nottingham to play for his home team after a successful BBL career.

” After a career both here and in Europe, it feels great to be back home, where it all began, representing an amazing city and playing alongside some great home town players! I am grateful for the opportunity and excited about the challenges of the season. LET’S GO HOODS!”

Club Captain Bruce Lauder commented, “Tintin has grown up playing in Nottingham and is one of the best basketballers to be produced by this fine city. I remember when Lee set up the Hoods in 2009, Tintin sat down with us and said he would come back when we established ourselves and sure as his word, he has. He is a great guy, a great player and another Nottingham born talent in our Hoods family, I can’t wait to see him suit up for the season.”

Tintin will be sponsored by Clive Lancaster & Son Butchers, for which both he and the Hoods are very grateful.
