American guard Vickers joins Hoods

The Nottingham Hoods are delighted to announce the addition of Whitman College graduate Andrew Vickers.

The 6’4 guard from Washington started all 28 games in the 2019-20 season, helping Whitman College to a 20-8 record and a spot in the Division 3 NCAA Men’s Tournament and will be a scholar athlete at our partner Nottingham Trent University.

With a stat line reading 17.1 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 2.3apg and 1.7spg and Northwest Conference best 47.2% 3-point percentage, it is no wonder Andrew was named Second Team All-region (, Second Team All-district (NABC) as well as First Team All-Northwest Conference.

Have a look at some Andrew’s highlights on our YouTube account:-

Andrew had this to say about his move across the Atlantic, “I’m very excited to be joining the Hoods this season. With the guys we have coming in it’s going to be a real fun year, expect big things!”

Head Coach Ben Stanley added, “We’re excited to get Andrew over here and see what he can do. He’s an excellent shooter who can play 3 spots on both ends of the floor and we think he’ll be a great fit with the rest of the guys.”
