Fresh from securing their first home victory of the season, the Nottingham Hoods U14s returned to action looking to make it two wins on the bounce in a rearranged fixture against Leicester Riders. The challenge was significant — the Riders had taken the reverse fixture earlier in the season 69–51 and arrived with size, physicality and pace throughout their lineup.

Q1 – Bright Ideas, Tough Reality

The opening exchanges were encouraging for the Hoods, who moved the ball well in transition with sharp passing and intelligent off-ball movement. Early opportunities went unrewarded as shots failed to drop, while the Riders’ high defensive line forced turnovers and disrupted offensive rhythm.
